Robert Higgs on Minarchism
Robert Higgs on minarchism / statist hypocrisy / minarchy
Minarchists insist that the state should confine itself to monopoly control of the military, the police, the courts, the monetary system, and (in some arguments) certain essential elements of infrastructure and education. Which is to say, they want the state to have only the full complement of powers required for its establishment and maintenance of tyrannical government. There's a heavy load of wishful thinking being carried here by people who claim to favor a free society." - Robert Higgs
